You'll Find Everything in a Chocolate Theme Park
Why not check out your local chocolate theme park?
Okay, okay: unless you live in Amsterdam or Pennsylvania, you probably don't have a chocolate theme park nearby. Maybe you should, though! It seems to be the next big trend, and what chocolate lover wants to get left out in the cold when it comes to warm, rich, delicious chocolate?
What's that? You've never heard of a chocolate theme park? Shame on you! Actually, while uncommon, they do exist, and there are even two famous enough to attract worldwide tourist and media attention.
1. Hershey Theme Park, Hershey Pennsylvania
Most people know about Hershey chocolate and the vacation potential of this little town in Pennsylvania. But a surprisingly small number of people remember that Hershey hosts its very own chocolate theme park!
Of course, you can buy all varieties of chocolate treats at Hershey Park, but it's more than just a chocolate shopping experience. Meet a Hershey Kiss, enjoy wild roller coasters, and take in a show. Hershey Park is a theme park at its best, with every type of attraction you'd find in a bigger park (like the infamous Disneyland). And don't worry, Moms and Dads: there are plenty of healthy eating options at Hershey Park.

2. De Chocolade Fabriek
If you're a fan of Roald Dahl's famous book, you'll be thrilled to learn about Amsterdam's newest chocolate theme park based on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! The creators have gone all out to establish an authentic atmosphere, building the park underground so they don't have to block out the sights and sounds of the surrounding city (say that three times fast...).
Some of the park's features include a glass elevator, a real-life chocolate factory, and a chocolate fountain. The park is scheduled to open in 2009. In the meantime, if you read Dutch (or if you just want to see some very cool pictures), check out the park's official site.
